Sant Cugat is a gentle and open city. Its residents are predominantly young and highly educated. It is dynamic, with institutions and associations that are committed to the city. It is home to historical heritage, such as a very important monastery. Its beautiful environment and high quality of life are characteristics that we aim to preserve and strengthen.

The Sant Cugat monastery was one Catalonia's main monasteries in the Middle Ages. The complex currently houses the church, the cloister, the Sant Cugat Museum, the chapterhouse and rooms formerly used by monks. The Romanesque cloister, the most outstanding element of the complex, is remarkable for its structure and the decorative qualities of its carvings. Another notable feature is the Gothic rose window on the main façade of the church.

A green town
Sant Cugat has a whole host of places where you can walk and enjoy open spaces. The town has 887,200 m2 of public parks. In five years, this figure is expected to increase to 1,200,000 m2.

Leisure
Sant Cugat offers a wide range of restaurants, sports areas, cinemas, theatres, libraries, etc.
